A Concert Hall on Wheels
On Wednesday, 2 September, I will give two short solo performances in one of the Festival Oude Muziek Utrecht’s most unusual venues: the Concert Camper.
The Concert Camper is a fully functioning mobile concert hall that travels between the centre and the surrounding neighbourhoods of Utrecht. Its interior has been transformed into an intimate historical art cabinet, with painted walls created by students of the École d’Art Mural in Versailles. It offers audiences an opportunity to encounter early music at extremely close range, outside the conventions of a traditional concert hall.
I will take over the keyboard for two compact solo performances at 16:05 and 16:40. Each set lasts approximately twenty minutes. The performances are free, and visitors can simply come to the Concert Camper in Park Transwijk. I will be performing solo harpsichord works by Johann Jakob Froberger and Johann Sebastian Bach.
